We’re gonna need y’all to crank up the volume on this weekly edition of Tomb Thursday! If you don’t, the music (and dancing girl) are gonna get ya. Shuffle this way…

We’re shifting back to some dazzling 3D-printed NPCs this week, and these latest Egyptian minis are making us move in all the right places. Every desert gameboard needs a supporting cast to truly immerse the players at the game table. Let’s see who’s joining the dance troupe today!

We’ll start with a miniature from our staple set: Empire of the Scorching Sands by EC3D Designs. These gorgeous desert 3D prints are supportless, and there are many, many more to ultimately highlight. You simply can’t go wrong picking up this set.

Resident Painter Kimmy Utah was our chief colorist here, and she’s got us movin’ and a shakin’ in all the right ways. We love her use of classic Egyptian colors, while nailing the skin tone and long flowing hair. We especially adore the base on this one, as it just puts us in that Arabian feel-good mood!

Next up is another desert set that we nearly forgot about, and that would have been a true fail on our part. Voracious Sands by Loot Studios has amazing enemies, heroes, and scatter terrain that will drop nicely into our latest DnD environment build. The Blaze Piper belongs in any desert cantina cut-scene and is stuffed with amazing details. We can’t lay a music track over the top of him.

Once again, Kimmy Utah put brush to print here and flat-out wowed us! We upped the scale a tad here to ensure he wasn’t too fragile coming off our print plate, but a slightly larger miniature never bothers us. We love Kim’s use of blues and whites as you can almost feel his shoulders a shiftin’ and his toes a tappin’!

From a gameplay perspective, you have all sorts of playful options here. These two sneaky performers could be in cahoots and attempt to seduce cantina guests into turning over their valuables, the dancer could pass critical mission intelligence to one of the players, or our piper could be a spy for one of the bad guys. DM Ben is pretty jazzed to build an encounter or two around these two alluring NPCs.
Until next time!
