City markets in RPG games just warm our souls. The sights, the sounds, the smells, the hustle, and the bustle just make a village bazaar ripe for engaging, fun encounters. So that’s why scatter terrain in this particular category becomes an instant print!
In today’s post, we’re sharing a wonderful fruit stand piece by STL Miniatures and their gotta-print Farmer’s Set. There’s all sorts of fun scatter terrain in those majestic fields for you to spin up and paint. Of course, our Mars Pro 3 did them all.
Resident painter, Kimmy Utah, was once again masterful with her brush strokes as the fruit & veggies stand just let her explore so many engaging colors. It seems like every time we marvel at this print, we find something new that we love about it.
So this print got us thinking…how do we incorporate fruit & veggies bought at a market or found by a player in some other setting into our game? Sure, magical potions, dwarven ale, and elven wine get plenty of love but what about some tasty produce?!
After all, edibles are a bit of a thing these days. Maybe our merchant is a bit shifty on an insight check. He could be eluding to some magical properties in a couple of his rarer produce…which your character can have at the right price.
DM Ben loves giving loot as one-offs. So, for example, his players will find a scroll with a single Identity spell. Or, maybe the luck stone has two good rubs left on it. Fruit and vegetables can have the same sorta functionality.
That pushed us to the Interwebs as we found a couple of fun articles:
Pretty fun…and fresh and fruity, right? Now, how much for that “special” bag of beans? 😉
