Greetings, fellow high (and low) dice rollers! Thank Gawd, it’s Friday! This means another wonderful weekend of gaming and crafting with our friends is upon us! It’s a beloved game night for the 3DRPG studios office crew so let’s see what the diabolical DM Ben has instore for our ragtag adventurers this time!

Our previous sesh was a tougher one for our bloodthirsty adventurers as they concluded a major, homebrewed story arc (well, sort of) by chasing the evil Night Hag out of The High Forest and finally walking back through the gates of Waterdeep. This player group simply adores combat and lots of dice rolling, so establishing NPCs, bigger missions, and so forth really hits like a thud sometimes. DM Ben does his best to keep things lively and not overdo the supplemental stuff, but sometimes establishing those new narratives can’t be helped. Otherwise, we might as well just play Warhammer.

Let’s briefly recap what went down last game:
So, DM Ben is slowly letting the group build out their new Bastion, and their reward for safely returning little Shamus to Ewan McHook meant he would build them a new structure for their home base. They chose a slick watchtower, so we’re getting ready to 3D Print that terrain piece for the game.

Here’s DM Ben’s road map for tonight’s dice-rolling shenanigans:
DuGalle doesn’t really want his niece, Delilah, back, as she could blow his cover as the infamous Crosstown Killer. Alas, he must play the role and give the group a reward (a one-time, free massive delivery of construction materials for future Bastion upgrades).

The players will indeed get their first ride on The Forgotten Rails, and boy, has this event been a long time coming, with the very first Train Tuesday blog post starting on May 10, 2024! So, Omin will briefly introduce them to 3M and tell the group to hop on board the Hovertrain as low-brow security for another live test run. Players will naturally still have to pay the 1 gp ticket price.
The Miffed Mushroom Contingent will set up a railroad block at the entrance to Mushroom Ally, which Omin Dran sensed could happen since the Shrooms won’t allow any of their land to fall under eminent domain. That’s why Dran is using the adventurers as muscle to ensure nothing happens to his beloved train.

The Mushroom fight won’t be anything more than a message that they’re incredibly unhappy the group picked the Angry Acorns over them. From there, it’s time for the next big dungeon crawl! DM Ben might have the Wandering Monster Wilderness Trek Axe Beak Stampede Encounter interrupt that combat, but he also might save that one.
The players will travel to Tresendar Manor to uncover what happened to the Golden Mongoose franchise, which was headquartered there.
Since we’ve already built out the entire dungeon, here’s a quick reference of each nifty room we built:
We’re in shipshape here and expect the group to at least do the opening few areas before Friday night ends.

With a little extra hobby time on our side, we’ll close today by sharing these two new Hellwasp Grub miniatures we 3D-printed for free thanks to the mighty Schlossbauer. Tresendar Manor is crawling with bugs (pun intended), so we felt these mushy younglings fit in nicely here.

These slimy bugs were snap to paint, so DM Ben didn’t mind giving them a go:
DM Ben is going to have them sitting somewhere in the dungeon, and it’s nearly a given that the players won’t be able to resist squashing them. When they do, Momma Bear and their elder siblings are going to come a runnin’ for some payback!
Until next time!
