Greetings, fellow DnD gamers! Our office campaign is front and center this evening here in monsoony AZ, so let’s take a look at DM Ben’s campaign diary. We’ve also got a freshly completed 3D print for their bustling Bastion!

We’re coming off a really fun sesh where the players took their first ride on the prototype engine of The Forgotten Rails as a security favor to Waterdeep’s Omin Dran. The shiny and secretive Hovertrain took them as far as the dangerous Mushroom Alley. From there, the players had to huff it on foot to find out what happened to the gone-silent Golden Mongoose franchise at Tresendar Manor.

Here’s a quick recap of all the most recent events!
All in all, DM Ben was super pleased with his previous prep and felt the whole office crew had a blast.

So, here’s the big plan for tonight’s TTRPG hijinx:
DM Ben anticipates the group will at least get an encounter or two in the dungeon tonight, so that’s pretty darn exciting.

Now, it was incredibly tempting to use our new Dwarven Forge Dungeons Re-forged Gamefound pieces for tonight’s mini dungeon exploration, but we had already built it alllll out many moons ago. Hence, we’ll save those marvelous new terrain pieces for a future gameboard.
DM Ben is over the moon to be a little ahead of the prep curve here, as it allows us more time to 3D print the next chapter of this Acquisitions Incorporated and home-brewed campaign.

Our featured 3D print today comes with insanely fortuitous timing as our adventurers requested a Guard Tower for their latest Bastion expansion as part of the rewards for all their recently completed quests. A couple of high-profile referrals pointed them to Chip Carver at the Busted Boulder.
We had a few previously printed tower options, but then almost out of the blue, we got this Endless Castle Kickstarter alert from Cast n Play! They were offering preregistered subscribers a free download of a nifty modular tower.

As much as we adore Cast n Play and their superb Terrain Essentials monthly series, their STLs can occasionally run a tad large on our Elegoo Mars 4 Ultra print plate. Hence, there was naturally a little skepticism leading into the file slicing. Turns out everything 3D printed swell, but boy howdy, the files fit on the print plate by the tightest of margins. #whew.

Even cooler, we came across this great new stone paint scheme by YouTuber Misfit Hobbies that we were absolutely dying to try. It’s like all the stars in the 3D-printing universe were aligning!
Here were DM Ben’s paint steps:
We wanted to try a more brown-stone base for the rocks to break up the colors a bit. Here were the steps for that:
May the dice gods favor us all this gaming weekend, my friends. Until next time!
