Terrain Tuesday! Fish Monger, Full Stop

We’re really into creating fun, new environments for our campaigns so anytime a scatter terrain instantly “speaks to us,” we must share it with the rest of our printing associates.

Cast n Play’s Terrain Essentials Interiors Kickstarter was one for the printing ages and it’s a clear frontrunner for our favorite crowd-funded campaign of 2023! We could probably fuel our little ol’ D&D blog here for months on end from the insane number of pieces we’ve printed (and even painted so far).

Today we’re focusing our attention on the main Fish Shelf piece. This musty marine-life holder is perfect for any seaside setting but it also certainly works in any sort of market square environment. It comes from Cast n Play’s Stores subset set which you can see more of by clicking the image above.

The piece was a little tricky to print because of those lil’ dangling mackerels (which were pretty dainty). But such is life as a resin printer, right? Stuff breaks allllllll the time during printing, removing the supports, washing the print, etc. The best way to keep your sanity is just to roll with any unexpected “snapping” events.

Mad props once again to our resident painter, Kimmy Utah. Her wood color scheme is out of this world. Lots of great graininess in those timbers. This fish shelf scatter piece has a fun side profile view too. DM Ben is thinking of adding this piece to an upcoming waterfront encounter for our work campaign so more to come on that as we build out for you.
