Despite all sorts of magical opportunities for travel throughout the many realms of D&D, many characters (at least at lower levels) still have to hitch a ride on a horse or bust out their best walkin’ shoes. So you better make sure your mini library is representin’.
This charming human traveler comes courtesy of Ec3D Designs Everyday Folk Kickstarter (part 1). All these minis are supportless so it’s dealer’s choice on whether you use a FDM or Resin printer. This hairy fella was done on a Prusa Mini in FDM.
Resident painter, Kimmy Utah, draped on the fitting colors to really give him that walk-about-vibe. He’s just a simple man with simple means traveling from point A to point B.
As you might of guessed, we’re going to use him in our randomly generated encounter by Loke Battlemats: The Long Road RPG Toolbox. We need some tag-along NPCs to provide some extra chaos during the Red Caps ambush. And just like the modern world, your gold upgrades determine your final comfort level during the ride…hence, the one foot in front of the other mode of transport. Honestly, he’s just hoping not to die along the way. 😉
So what’s this guy’s story anyway? DMs always need to jot down a few basic notes because we all know how the group can sorta fixate on the wrong things at times.
Side note: You can also try this fun NPC generator that we found on Reddit.
Pretty fun, right?! What else would you do with our little ol’ Cobbler loner?
