Metal junk piles in your WotC game? Well, steampunk and D&D certainly go together like good ol’ PB&J thanks to good ol’ gnomes. Tinker gnomes are a major spacefaring race native to Krynnspace who are commonly found throughout the Known Spheres in the Spelljammer campaign setting, and can be selected as a player character race.
These little guys can make all sorts of cool inventions both big and small. Imagine crafting up a little clockwork toy and letting that bugger loose in a hallway to lure some guards into an ambush – pretty darn cool, right?
Lots of fun uses for this ol’ scrap pile too. Your party could stumble upon a Tinker gnome doing some mysterious salvaging out in the woods. Or, maybe you see this trash heap outside his secluded workshop, and a side mission for missing parts to his next big Construct is proposed?
We also had to show off Curufin’s own print and masterful paint job. He just nailed it. And best of all, he put it up on Thingiverse as a free download. When he’s not doing amazing work with Ec3D Designs, he’s putting up all sorts of free stuff up so keep an eye on his page.
And while we’re primarily a Dungeons and Dragons blog, this scatter scrap pile is perfect for a Star Wars game too so definitely some multi-use opportunities with this terrain.
Now just remember that long metal hose clips into that bulky canister and then that all slides into that vented piece over…
