Honestly, gang, when it comes to worry-free, supportless mini printing, there’s Brite Minis and then everyone else. Let’s see what fantabulous 3D print of theirs we colored up recently!
Naturally, it’s an absolute race to the printer every time they release their minis (or some occasional terrain). And you also get access to the majority of their growing back catalog – all for just a silly $5 a month.
So, “say hello to my little…” Clay Golem! Isn’t it just adorable in an I’m-going-to-bludgeon-and-murder-you-sorta-way? We especially like the size of this fig with it taking up a single d20 square. A lot of pre-painted golem minis are more on the larger size.
The bolted shards of metal on him are what really sells it though. The broken piece of chain also cracks us up! So good! Sure he’ll probably fail that stealth check but he doesn’t seem too concerned about it.
Standing in at 133 HP with a strength of 20, the D&D 5e Golem from D&D Beyond is no walk through the park. He has multiple attacks, immune to all sorts of damage types, absorbs acid, can potentially go Berserk, has magic resistance, can utilize Haste, and don’t even get us started on that lunatic slam attack which includes a Con saving throw (that you do not want to fail).
Water Elementals are our fav mini type but Golems still hold a soft spot in our DM hearts here at 3D RPG. So that got us to thinkin’…what other types of golems outside of the classic four (Flesh, Stone, Clay & Iron) are we forgetting about? Turns out that there are a lot of ’em:
That long list of pain shocked us as we didn’t think there were actually that many! Also, how great are the golem paint jobs above by Gamer Multiclass?
Now the good news here is you know a little more about golems but the bad news is we need to find the rest of these golems to print (…and we will). 😉
