Greetings, fellow wagoneers! We’ve got another delightful installment of Wandering Wednesday, and we’re going right back to one of our favorite scatter terrain categories. Buckle up, buttercup!

It’s no secret that we’ve got a wagon 3D-printing problem here at 3DRPG Studios, and for this, we make no apologies. Besides, no jury would ever convict us for our love of those rolling wheels as a rickety wooden cart traverses a winding countryside road.

Today, we’re highlighting this beast transport wagon by STL Miniatures. This absolute gem is from their fab Animal Tamer’s Set. Now, we love this talented creative team, but we were a little puzzled by their decision to split the cart into two STL files. The trend lately from others like Cast n Play is a single file, even with moving wheels. Hopefully, they’ll get to a single STL as that design makes a world of difference to us DnD hobbyists – the less gluing and assembly the better, right?! Even so, this is a great set, and we absolutely endorse it.

DM Ben happily colored up this absolutely charming wagon and is super pleased with the results. The roof is removable, and it holds a standard d20 miniature or two behind those thick metal bars with ease. Now, longtime DnD readers of our quaint lil’ ol’ blog know that we’re always trying new wood color variations because it’s such a dominant theme in our miniatures and scatter terrain.
So, we think you’ll especially like this one:
We’ve been looking for a better iron bar look, so we’re especially thrilled with how worn and weathered they turned out.

The cart dimensions here are 5 d20 squares by 2 d20 squares, and here you can see how our monk miniature dropped perfectly inside. We rarely worry about actual playability inside a DnD scatter terrain piece or building. We always consider our TTRPG 3D prints’ primary job is to set the scene. We have plenty of easy Dungeon Master tricks to play within smaller pieces.

Even better, this animal (or even prisoner) transport wagon has all sorts of cool DnD one-shot scenario options:
Any or all of those would be darn fun for your campaign, don’t ya think?!
Until next time!
