Hey, it’s not all fun and games here on 3DRPGPrints.com. We can do deep, Pulitzer journalism just as much as the next news outlet. That’s why today we’re going to demonstrate how a Prusa printer’s size directly correlates to the size of…the free pack of Haribo Goldbears included in every order.
As you’ve probably seen on our continuous Twitch channel, 3DRPG is a Prusa shop. We have ’em all here:
To get our feet wet with the Prusa brand, we started with the Mini but now that we’ve gotten the hang of things, we’ve added several more printers. The technology in the industry is changing so darn fast and there’s been no shortage of new printer releases.
But what does Gummi candy (aka “Gummy Bears” to us here in the States) have to do with printers?! According to Prusa Knowledge Base, “Building a printer is a challenge unlike any other and you should treat yourself for every milestone you reach. That is why a bag of Haribo Bears is included.”
Is assembling a Prusa printer actually tough? Welp, it depends on who you ask on our 3DRPG crew. DM Ben doesn’t “do tools” so he always goes with the pre-assembled option. However, the engineers on our team naturally love to roll up their sleeves so they go the opposite direction when ordering their printer (and they say it’s no big deal).
To keep our ducks in a row here in the office, we lovingly named our various printers after infamous pilots from the beloved “Top Gun” movie. That way if one of them flies directly into a twister, we can quickly blurt out which pilot is in trouble. Our very first printer was the Prusa Mini and playfully dubbed, “Jester.” Then came the MK4, also known as Maverick, because we always want it in the air and running. Lastly, there’s the XL, who naturally goes by “Iceman” due to its big personality.
So as you can clearly see, as your 3D printer build plate gets larger, so does your Gummi Candy container! From snack-size to tub-size, the party only gets bigger, my friends. It’s just one more reason to love these guys from their home base in the Czech Republic.
And now you can safely say that the size of the printer does directly correlate to the size of the gummies. You’re welcome, Internet.
