Let’s do some of our favorite scatter terrain today: carts! We can’t get enough of ’em, and 3D printing makes it much easier to acquire all sorts of wilderness wagons these days (unless the creators break it up into a bunch of annoying pieces).
Our players are about to really kick their travel into high gear. And while The Forgotten Rails are sure to usher in a whole new travel frontier, we’ll continue to balance those Hovertrains with all the fun traditional DnD forms of transportation. Plus, did we already mention we’re addicted to DnD cart scatter terrain? 😉
Now, longtime readers probably know 3DRPG really does have a soft spot for wagons and traveling caravans. We did a whole fun DnD one-shot on ’em thanks to a fun challenge using Loke BattleMats Long Road Toolbox set. Traveling carts have a wealth of encounter possibilities, so we’ll keep 3D printing them as long as the resin allows.
Today’s irresistible cart comes from Custom Miniature Maker and their marvelous Goblin Market Bazaar set. Although the set primarily features a city square and shopping, numerous carts are available, and many are modular. This is a no-brainer set to add to your library, y’all.
DM Ben sucked it up and grabbed a brush here. Thankfully, there are no tiny eyeballs to color in, but he’s not an airbrush guy, and that type of painting probably would have been way easier here. He’s just too chicken to try an airbrush right now and definitely doesn’t want to buy sets of airbrush-specific paints. Thankfully, traditional brush painting worked just fine.
This wagon just has so much charm to it, and the paint choices DM Ben used are really slam dunks these days:
Can’t get more straightforward than that, right? The final 3D Print is very easy to hold, so painting it wasn’t a bite-your-tongue-off experience. 😉
Our players can certainly walk to reach all their future destinations, but something tells us that they’ll eventually opt for a horse and cart until they can utilize a Hovertrain to certain spots. They risk levels of exhaustion and numerous Wilderness Trek Wandering Monster rolls, though. At least, now they have the option to buy or rent this beauty. 🙂
Until next time!
