If we can squeeze another mimic in for this week’s installment of “Miniature Monday,” well you can bet your last death safe that we’re gonna do it!
So even though we’re 3D RPG printers by trade, we naturally still love to collect Dwarven Forge pieces! Why? welp, we’re a small team and our painting pile of shame can only get too high! Thus, early on, we picked a couple of particular DnD environment themes (like Sewers and Caverns) and decided to leave those to the pros. We’ll just print supporting tiles to add to Dwarven Forge’s masterful sets whenever we need to.
However, this same rule also applies to miniatures and scatter terrain. Minis because our resident painter, Kimmy Utah, already has a backlog that stretches from coast to coast. And scatter terrain because our local team can barely keep up with that monster mix of ever-growing pieces either. Plus, if they’re unique pieces, we’re more than happy to keep those brilliant artists’ revenue a flowin’.
The treasure pile has long been on our wish list so when Dwarven Forge re-stocks come along, we typically sneak in an older wish list item. We just love all of its detail and color mix.
The mimic itself is such a swirling pile of badass as it morphs right through the treasure! And that purple shade is spot on to complete the menacing, twisting look.
We don’t get to say this very often but the Mimic Treasure Pack is actually in stock right now. If you’re ordering some Forge for the holidays, throw this one in the cart…just check for traps first. 😉
