You can probably hear DM Ben rubbing his hands together because he knows it’s time for some more freshly pressed scatter terrain! Let’s sort out the details!
Today we’re featuring a piping hot piece from STL Miniatures. If you don’t know who they are or haven’t participated in any of their magnificent Kickstarters, then it’s time to get you in the know! Their immense library of work is best suited for a Resin printer but they all come pre-supported.
This amazing iron furnace scatter terrain piece comes from their must-print Fantasy NPCs – Laundry Set. It’s just so hot (in a good way) and unique that we just had to share it with you.
Now you might have noticed in the rendering that we inadvertently lost the tea kittle on top of the stove for our print. We can be a bit clumsy with our WI meat sausage hands. It happens. Don’t fret and just run with it, guys. 🙂
Still, isn’t this iron heater just adorable though?! It’s just perfect and intriguing in every absolute way. Your players have seen a gazillion barrels, chests, tables, etc but how many times will they walk into this town merchant and see a piece like this? They won’t…until now. 😉
We also love prints that don’t require a complex paint scheme! Plus, you can go so simple on this paint scheme (especially with Army Painter Speedpaint Metallics Set 2.0): dark steel, maybe copper for the pot, and then any wood paint color for the handles. Presto!
So this piece got us thinkin’ – how will we use it in our next town stop? Sure, you will do the usual “refueling stations” like:
But why not let your scatter terrain library work for you and freshen things up a bit?!
DM Ben never lets the module tell him what terrain to pull from his terrain & minis library. Instead, he tells the module what he wants to go into the story. Otherwise, all those pieces you worked so hard to make just sit in a dark, lonely box. How depressing. 🙁
So what could be a scenario here? DM Ben set the stage by having the party find some old soldier uniforms on an earlier encounter. But wait! They are all bloodstained, dirty, and wrinkled. Certainly not good enough to dawn and simply walk onto the palace grounds for your next mission. Your adventurers need an assist!
The good news for them is that your town happens to have a laundry merchant in this town that for the right price, covers all services. And of course, no questions asked! #WinkWink
