Greetings, fellow sandy VIPs. Today we’re following up on a previous post and sharing a mystery miniature today. Let’s go!

In an earlier Tomb Thursday, we featured some pretty sa-weet Persian Archers by Brite Minis and even included some simple paint steps to help get these desert foes to your game table ASAP. That Patreon release included several other sculpts, but we split it into two DnD blog entries.

Last time, we focused on the ranged snipers; this time, we’ll share the melee soldier versions and a hybrid opponent as well. The two spear toters look somewhat similiar but we dig their varied attack stances.

Here are the painted sculpts done by a nervous DM Ben, a casual, novice painter. He is trying to push himself to try more 3D prints, but man, that angst is no joke sometimes. You can find his no-fuss paint steps in the previous post. We did red and blue cap alternates, just to mix things up a little.

And here is our favorite mini of the Persian set. We love the long spear (which could mean a reach of 10 ft) and the bow resting on the opposite shoulder. Just a classic miniature pose in our minds. You could print a dozen of these to represent a group of guards and be sittin’ pretty.

Lastly, we have this Lizard-lovin’ merchant, bursting with personality and color. Resident Painter Kimmy Utah used her keen eye to capture every tiny detail on this model, and novice painter DM Ben couldn’t be more jelly. Alas, we really gave it the ol’ college try to find the maker of this fella, but no joy. If we do locate the maker, as usual, we’ll update this post (as we sometimes do).

Anywho, we’re going to use this leapin’ lizard as our VIP who requires a full security detail whenever he roams those desert city streets. DM Ben will use him as a villain and maybe create a one-shot heist scenario for his players.
Until next time.
