All aboard for a new ongoing series at 3DRPG: Train Tuesday has just pulled into the station! Let’s get a steampunk hovertrain into your campaign!
Wouldn’t it be fun to add a whole new transportation layer to your campaign’s world? There are so many new story arcs to explore while giving any DM a cornucopia of fresh, home-brewed content ideas! We’re beyond stoked to introduce this new weekly content series to you all. Let’s get to it!
First off, we had to have the right 3D-printed content maker, and that’s where the immensely talented crew over at Aether Studios comes in. They have created a whole series of different hovertrain engines and cars for 3D RPG to print on our Prusa MK4 printer. And even better, more expansions are planned!
Affordability, playability, and overall coolness await with these mix-and-match sets:
We plan on printing and showcasing many of the pieces across all these sets here in 2024.
For encounter-building purposes, we’ll be utilizing the northern Sword Coast area (via the Acquisitions Incorporated D&D 5e module) and its surroundings, including Waterdeep and Phandalin. However, you’ll be able to drop our DnD homebrewed content into your own game with ease.
A wise content-maker always starts with a solid plan of attack. So let’s highlight some of the RPG Railroad elements we’ll be focusing on in the coming months!
We’ll kinda jump around this railroad smorgasbord and release whatever is “speaking to us” during our content-release meetings.
Let’s begin with a colorful name for our new landmark hovertrain rail line. We trolled the Internet and also mixed in some of our own ideas, including:
We have a couple of favorites here, but we’re going to let these names simmer a bit and announce the name next week.
Welp. This DnD content train is officially leaving the station, so let’s all get on board, find our seats, and enjoy this smooth railway ride together! Until next time!
