Let’s be honest – bathing is a bit of a luxury for the everyday citizens and adventurers of Waterdeep. So, imagine getting a soothing soak on a moving Hovertrain as it glides along the Sword Coast. Talk about life goals!
Guys, today’s Train Tuesday post marks a huge milestone: We’ve completed our inaugural set of Hovertrain cars! The only remaining items are 3D prints like a second main engine and a larger tanker car, both of which we consider icing on the DnD cake! Let’s explore our final Hovertrain Bath car!
We’ve already 3D-printed some other fancy first-class cars, like the plush Lounge Car and the private Sleeper Car, but this is DM Ben’s favorite because it clearly distinguishes Waterdeep’s Haves from its Have-Nots. And The Forgotten Rails is eager to take the Haves’ gp!Â
Today’s STL tiles are from Aether Studios and their fancy Pegasus Line. You could build any Hovertrain just for VIPs, but we like the idea of mixing and matching different train cars because this is the early days of this revolutionary form of travel.
We utilized just a couple of tiles for this one: two of the “First-class Baths” and two of the “Empty Plain” tiles. We pondered doing a single set of baths, but it would make more sense for a group of travelers to request access to this lavish amenity.
The Bath Car’s exterior follows the ongoing first-class theme of purples and gold leaves. We just dig the overall vibe – fancy but still a messy-ish form of travel, thanks to those powerful dirt-and-dust-kicking engines.
Aether Studios gives us a near-endless supply of modular Hovertrain doors. Even though we could have used the first-class door, we just like this classy ornate door just a little more here.
And just like that, well, 57 Hovertrain posts later, The Forgotten Rails has its starting train cars! Next week, we’ll share where we go from here, including things like a Hovertrain Station, train car roofs, plans for future cars, new Construct miniatures, and, of course, our staring scenarios.
Until next time!
