This week’s Miniature Monday includes plenty of white stripes and teeth. Let’s take a closer look at our two new purring-printed “friends.”
These two fat cats are from one of our absolute favorite sets by EC3D Designs – Empire of the Scorching Sands! We’re pretty sure we’ve 3D-printed nearly everything and even painted a considerable chunk of it! You can use this STL collection in any Egyptian Tomb-style game and elevate your game board to the next level.
Dubbed “Lounging Cats” – you can print them with or without chains. Free of any manmade shackles, they’re a natural pair for any jungle exploration setting. Stuck in captivity means they’re probably someone’s elaborate pets.
Resident painter Kimmy Utah drew the coloring straw on this one, and for good reason. These two tigers have intricate bases and all sorts of sneaky spots to fill in. DM Ben explained that these would probably be pets more than wild animals, and then she ran with the paint scheme. We adore the intricate bases that EC3D Designs used here.
What makes this creator a top three in our minds is that nearly all their STLs are support-free, and even better, they offer a “complete” mini that includes the base. That design decision saves us so much time and heartache. We wish other creators would take a page from their playbook sometimes. 😉
As we hinted above, there are numerous scenarios to drop these Panthera Tigris’ into, including:
Always extra special when our 3D-prints have a big ol’ list of uses in our DnD game, right?!
Until next time!
