Today’s post nearly broke us, as we couldn’t, for the life of us, find the original maker. Thankfully, the kind souls over at the Loot Studios Discord (one of our favs) came through in the clutch!

We have a sourcing rule in the office: anything that takes over an hour to locate must remain anonymous. However, this maker locator was killing us because we swore all along it was STL Miniatures, but for whatever cruel reason, we couldn’t initially find the corresponding set to prove it.
Well, thankfully, EnteQuackQuack in the Loot Studios Discord (along with several other really great gamers) gave us all the emotional support we needed to crack this 3D print case! “I love this type of treasure hunt, so much fun” – like, how can you not have nothing but mad respect for someone with such a great helping hand attitude?!

Today’s marvelous DnD mini is by STL Miniatures and comes from their fun Potion Vendors set. We fell in love with the pose right from the get-go and knew she would ultimately make such a great NPC in our ongoing TTRPG campaign.

Resident painter Kimmy Utah pulled out all the paintbrush stops on this one, making it an instant classic in our collection. The smooth skin tone and fab hair are spot on. The complementary colors of purple, gold, and yellow just sing. No chance DM Ben’s Wisconsin sausage fingers could ever have held the brush steady enough to capture every little detail here.

We already have a complete and utter fascination with townsfolk NPCs, but things really take a psychiatric turn when the mini has so many unique characteristics. Like, it’s simply a given that players will talk about her lush, flowing hair well after the encounter is over. We can practically hear all her exotic jewelry shifting as she chats with the adventuring party.

We’ve got the perfect story placement for her, too, as she’s going to be the owner of our new Hovertrain Hostel route stop! So far, we have made our core building and added some delightful scatter. With many encounters, though, it’s always that main NPC that really makes it memorable. We needed someone who just exuded confidence and total “child, don’t frack with me” vibes.

Now, let’s talk NPC specifics here:
Her rates are reasonable, and it’s as safe a space as any to rest your head for the night in The High Forest. However, cross her or cause trouble on her property, and you’re asking for a world of hurt. 😉

What’s not to love, right? And we’re far from done here, as we still need to add some occupants and stir up a troubling encounter to go along with our perfect Hostel scene.
Until next time!
