Greetings, fellow Dungeon Crawlers! Nothing welcomes good ol’ hump day like some sensual scatter terrain for your next underground mission. Let’s get to opening!

Peculiar, perplexing doors in a DnD dungeon crawl are a staple feature! Like, you simply must have all sorts of mysterious room entrances in order to keep your Dungeons and Dragons players on their toes. Why not use your 3D printer and a phenomenal creator to elevate the game table experience?

Creators sometimes do Patreon spin-offs to focus on a specific TTRPG 3D-printing category. Enter Cast n Play and one of our absolute favorite examples. They did a series of highly successful Kickstarters dubbed Terrain Essentials. All three were so good that they then formed a monthly tribe that delivers exceptional value for the DnD terrain buck.
To this day, we have never participated in a Kickstarter like Terrain Essentials II, where its stretch goals nearly outdid the main pledge. Like, it was that good! We’re still finding new TTRPG pieces to slice for our 3D printer to this day! Pro tip: always remember to circle back on old Kickstarters and Patreon downloads, you will be amazed at what you miss sometimes.

Let’s start with the first of three nifty new doors: a prison cell door (labeled Door A). This gritty, no-way-out entrance is perfect for the prison portion of your dungeon crawl. Cast n Play’s doorways are almost always moveable so the DM can denote if the room is indeed closed or if someone has intentionally or unintentionally left it ajar.
The cool thing about these TTRPF 3D Prints is that you get to try some new low-risk paint combos:
Frickin’ fantastic, right?!!!

Our next imposing door shifts from an impenetrable metal to a franticly boarded up wood surface, ropes and all! Also, from the Dungeon Core Set, this one is simply labeled Door B. We plan to feature several of these RPG entryways by Cast n Play over the coming months, and this is our absolute favorite of the bunch!
Nothing to it in terms of the paint steps:
If you don’t adore this one, then there’s no hope for thee, and we’re gonna make you go through that door first. 😉

Lastly, much like our first featured door, this one could be used in many different ways: prison section entrance, cell door, treasure vault door, etc. This one is labeled Door C from the Dungeon Core Set. There are so many STL files in this Kickstarter that sometimes simple file names prevail. Exact same paint steps as our earlier metal door, except that we added a little more FAN Gun Metal and FAN Fresh rust to it. And now your Dungeon Master has three slick door options to drop in when the crawl calls for one (with more to come)!
Until next time!
