Coloring Constructs P1

Let’s do some quick paint guides for a few more of our new cool Constructs on The Forgotten Rails. You can print, paint and place these in your next DnD game sesh with ease.

Our last hovertrain miniature paint guides were well received, so let’s keep the knowledge share chugging along. ArmyPainter Speedpaints and Citadel Contrast paints have just been a godsend for novice painters like DM Ben.

At the very least, you might get some color inspiration to utilize these particular paints on other miniatures from your pile of shame. 😉

The first pick of the day is the Felforged Construct by mz4250. We’ve dubbed this big swinger a “Crusher Construct,” and its job is to eliminate a threat with sheer brute force.

His paint steps were easy peasy:

• Prime with flat black and then slapchop.
• Head: Army Painter Speedpaint Glittering Loot.
• Body: Army Painter Speedpaint Enchanted Steel.
• Hands: Army Painter Speedpaint Talos Bronze.
• Weapon: Army Painter Fanatic Weapon Bronze.
• Base: Army Painter Warpaint Flat Black.
• Wash: Army Painter Soft Tone Wash.

You can paint a squad of these military muscles in no time!

Next up is our soldier escort by Brite Minis. He’s even easier to color up!

• Prime with flat black and then slapchop.
• Body: Army Painter Speedpaint Aztec Gold (heavy dry brush)
• Stand: Army Painter Speedpaint Enchanted Steel
• Inside Visor: Army Painter Warpaint Elven Armour
• Base Stones: Army Painter Speedpaint Runic Grey
• Base Cracks: Army Painter Warpaint Matt Black
• Wash: Army Painter Soft Tone Wash.

The Aztec Gold is so perfect. You’ll love this particular metallic.

Lastly, we have our Sentry Construct by Tytan Troll Miniatures. These guys escort VIPs within the train as an extra layer of safety and passenger peace of mind.

• Prime with flat black and then slapchop.
• Body: Army Painter Speedpaint Polished Silver (heavy dry brush)
• Inside Visor: Army Painter Warpaint Elven Armour
• Base: Army Painter Warpaint Flat Black.
• Note: DM Ben is utilizing clear Litko bases where necessary

We also upped the size of this STL to a pull d20 square so that they’re a bit taller and more imposing. The default size of the model was a little too tiny for our liking.
