Greetings, fellow DnD gamers! We’ve survived another week of the grind, and now it’s time to throw some beautiful dice. Let’s see what DM Ben has in store for the rest of the 3DRPG team for tonight’s office campaign!

The chaotic evil schedule monster hit us hard in August as DM Ben had a rough go with some unexpected health predicaments. The office team is super chill, and we always just roll with the punches (pun intended) during those topsy-turvy times. Seven weeks between seshes gave DM Ben a little more time to prep new pieces for the game, so we’ll call this a glass-half-full outcome.

We always like to start a Game Day post by recapping last session’s events.
We played about an hour less than usual, but plenty of laughs were had. Everyone is pretty stoked for tonight’s dice action.

DM Ben wanted to utilize one more Acquisitions Incorporated 5e module encounter before the big Tresendor Manor Dungeon Crawl. Thetsis is a lizard capitalist merchant trying to make ends meet, and the poor guy is currently being squeezed by a local human bandit named Rasqel. He’s being confronted on a rural road within Mushroom Alley for even more “protection money” and is no match for his band of Bugbear thugs. Players will start before the road takes that bend and will overhear the shouting match.

Assuming the group helps poor Thetsis, he will give them a couple of potions (one healing & one water breathing) for their help and even share intel on the safest path to Tresendor Manor, the headquarters of the Fellowship of the Golden Mongoose franchise. He explains he hasn’t done any business dealings with them for nearly three weeks.
A solid list of scenarios for a game group that thirsts for combat.

Since we had that extra time between sessions, we ran off a pack of these Walking Wasp Nests by the mighty Schlossbauer. They’re a free download and make a great, unique addition to your monster pool. DM Ben thinks they’re a perfect fit here because Tresendor Manor is filled with all sorts of bug-themed bad guys.

DM Ben was eager to try out a Google-suggested paint scheme here, as this sculpt was very forgiving for novice painters.
We’ve come up with three very friendly monster skin tones, and we like the reddish one here, so show how these walking hosts’ bodies have been viciously tormented.

DM Ben now has to decide where these poor souls should specifically appear within tonight’s dungeon crawl. Rather than putting them all in a single room, he likes the idea of rolling a percentage die as they progress. Every time he rolls 0-60%, one will start lumbering towards them, moaning in excruciating pain.
Any successful save means half damage. A fun plot twist might be that each of these hosts is a missing member of the Fellowship of the Golden Mongoose. There are five of these poor souls in total, so if they get close to the end, they will appear in the very last explored room.
Until next time!
