Greetings, fellow mad scientists! We’ve got another wild wandering monster of the freakish kind to share with y’all today. Even better, this one sits perfectly in the palm of your hand. Wink, wink.

DM Ben is particularly stoked that today’s creepy monstrosities are sure to get an alarming “what-the” reaction from his players while also filling a mini-plot hook in our ongoing DnD campaign. Even better, you could put these enemies in your Dungeon Delve table or even your Wilderness Trek table. Duality – it’s what’s for dinner, baby.

What made us instantly reach for today’s 3D print is a particular villain in the D&D Beyond Acquisitions Incorporated 5e module that DM Ben is liking more and more. Early on, the players discover clues about a lunatic running around Waterdeep’s North Ward and removing random people’s hands and feet! This nutbar has been dubbed the Crosstown Cutter, and it’s up to the players to stop him. We also gave him a hiding-in-plain-sight name of Lord Galobax DuGalle.
Our adventurers have already gone through the earlier encounters and even unknowingly met him. DM Ben decided to make him a Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde: a wealthy importer/exporter by day, and at night, he turns into a deadly criminal with insatiable tendencies. We created two minis, a quirky persona, a criminal backstory, and even had one of our homebrewed kiddo rescues tied to him. Now DM Ben wants to give him some henchmen for added protection.

We had a plethora of Bardic Inspiration here! Besides an already great module plot hook, we also had several skin tone paint tutorials from our favorite YouTuber, Miniature Hobbyist, that ol’ DM Ben was eager to try out. Today’s print is also very forgiving for testing out some color combos, so the stars were certainly aligned here.

Say hello to this wild “Fingler” by Dragon Trapper’s Lodge. This freakshow was a Free Mini Friday download. You definitely want to make this a weekly routine check, as their crew has released some true gems in the past. We loved this one so much that we definitely plan on picking up the whole Finglers set at some point.

Since this STL is very friendly for a novice painter like DM Ben and he had some great tutorial videos at the ready, he didn’t mind painting these handsy foes. We colored these DnD monsters in several different ways, and all the steps were a snap.
We’ll start with our favorite of the three attempts:
DM Ben was following Miniature Hobbyist’s sample video and was astounded at how good that Army Painter Boney Matter Speedpaint looked dry.

And the other two paint scheme options were just as simple:
Still feel like our middle choice best represents the zany zombie-style theme here, but we’ll probably experiment with even one or two more skin color variations when we nab the whole set. We didn’t even do the vein edging color to all of them because we wanted to mix it up. This monster paint project was a great excuse to test out different skin tone schemes, as they can be tricky at times to master.

In terms of a new DnD 5e statblock for our Fingler soldiers, we had to do a lot of similiar monster research and brainstorming, but 3DRPG Fingler Monster for full details. Here are the biggies: AC 15, HP 52, SP 40, multi-att: Slam +5/1d8+3 bludgeoning & Grasping Pinch +5/1d6+3 bludgeoning. Our PDF also includes a wild harvesting table.
Now all that’s left to do is update our free Dungeon Delve Wandering Monster table..
