Our DnD work campaign has made it very apparent that we need a temple and subsequent cleric NPC in the capital city of Waterdeep! So, let’s introduce you to our latest RPG NPC.
DM Ben likes to have a single shop type and NPC for each core category. To date, our running list is growing nicely.
The last one sounds like a law firm, doesn’t it? 😉
We wanted a neutral Cleric miniature, and once again, Brite Minis answered our NPC call with a cool sculpt, otherwise known as “The Prophet.” The best thing about being a Brite Minis Patreon member is that your $5-ish a month grants you instant access to their bountiful back catalog. It’s such a deal.
Resident Painter Kimmy Utah colored up this miniature. His tattered robe and rope belt are the exact mood we’re going for here. We just want an old man with all sorts of religious knowledge on the different DnD deities who can also offer some helpful services to the group whenever they come back from a rough road of adventuring.
Our charming NPC’s name is M. Knight Holymon. Pretty good, right?! Omin Dran is insistent that Waterdeep allow for the freedom of religion, so the main temple is a very large structure housing all sorts of divinities. The locals refer to the grand temple as “The Church of Consequences.”
That brings us to the next obvious NPC question: what will our local temple offer the city’s sinners?
The fees for these services will follow their rulebook cost. If you’re looking for some fun plot hooks and side quests, be sure to read this fun cleric article by Empty Hexes.
Now, we’ve got yet another fun stop for our players to further immerse them into the game! In future posts, we’ll come up with a few unique magic items for sale (using the great card builder tool by FelraiderRPG)!
