Printed Prisoner Exchange

We’re on a bit of a captivity kick here at 3DRPG Studios this week. First, we shared our Hovertrain Prisoner Transport car, and now we’ve got the perfect miniature to hop onboard…unwillingly as it were. 😉

So, we’re slotting this nifty mini under Train Tuesday just because he makes perfect criminal cargo, but you really could place this poor fella in an abundance of DnD encounters.

This sinister STL comes from the fab 3D-Print crew at Loot Studios and their excellent Lair of Liars set. Their monthly subscription is packed with value, and we highly recommend checking out their monthly releases. We’ve printed and painted countless prints by them.

Here’s our hooded inmate in all his colorful glory. Once again, we asked resident painter Kimmy Utah to take on brush duties. She captured the intensity perfectly. This guy is in a rough spot! We’re nervous for him!

As we mentioned, our recently completed Hovertrain Prisoner Transport car is just the place to plop this guy down. We can physically place him in one of the two cells or outside of ’em for an active interrogation.

Sitting miniatures are a little on the rare side of a typical DnD sesh, let alone one that is bound and missing his footgear. So, we know this Loot Studios STL is going to garner instant gameboard attention from the players.

• Who is he?
• Why is he tied and hooded?
• What on earth did he do?
• Who does he work with?
• What kind of reward are we talkin’ about?
• And most of all, dude – just one boot?

DM Ben will have a field day with this one. He might say this guy is accused of trying to steal and sell The Forgotten Rails Hovertrain’s mysterious arcane secrets. Or maybe he ticked off Waterdeep’s Omen Dran by infringing on his profits. We’re still kicking the creative tires on where this guy will ultimately end up in our campaigns, but it’s just a matter of time before we do so here.

For any other DnD encounters, you can do the ol’ mini-swap where one of your party members is unexpectedly captured and faces a grueling inquisition (while counting the minutes until he/she is rescued). Or he could be a high-value rescue target with a handsome reward!

Either way, y’all need to print and paint this one, stat!
