20 May 2024
Summer is here, and that can mean only one thing – it’s time for that tireless, hardworking staff at 3DRPG to grab their swim trunks and head to the ocean to reset their creative minds. Fret not, fellow gamers, as we have an amazing second half of 2024 planned for thee.
Oh, that crystal blue water is calling, guys! Just look at it! We especially love the Caribbean, and May is a great time to dip one’s toes in the ocean with a bottomless, ice-cold margarita in hand, right?! St. Thomas is our favorite place on earth, but this time, we’re visiting Antigua for a little resort-livin’ and cruise change of pace.
So, we’ll officially be out of the office from 5-21 through 5-30, but our 24-hour Twitch channel will keep humming along, so you’ll still have a little print goodness in your daily life. There’s something about glancing at a live print in progress that just soothes the soul.
We thought we would give you a quick glimpse behind the planning curtain so you can see what’s in the pipeline for the second half of 2024.
Christmas come early, boys and girls! Just look at all that fun, free DnD content coming your way!
Our 3D-printed Wandering Monster tables (Dungeon Delve and Wilderness Trek) are really humming along, and we should wrap those up in June! We hope they will really liven up your own campaigns and give you something easy to print up in a pinch.
We’ve done two detailed paint guides so far: Village Inn Interiors and Dungeon Grime! They’ve been very well received, and we really appreciate all the great feedback. We’ve got some tough choices for what’s on tap, including Caverns, Egyptian, traditional dungeon, etc and we’re excited to reveal our next RPG terrain paint scheme in June.
We’ve been dying to do a train series of some sort, and good ol’ Aether Studios could tempt us no longer. They have seven-plus sets of different engines, train cars, etc, and we’re so jazzed to jump into this new RPG railroad series. DM Ben will tackle it all: fun one-shots, quirky NPCs, vile villains, tempting side missions, new railway stops in and around Waterdeep and on and on and on.
Lastly, we wanted to announce another new weekly DnD RPG series: Kinda Sorta Portal Places! You might recall the nifty new magic item we built for your campaign that provides teleportation, buuuuuut it only kinda, sorta works. There’s always a chance this portal will inadvertently drop you in a random place momentarily. We’ll be building a random table and showing you all the 3D-printed pieces you can conjure up on your own printer to set the unexpected scene!
And that’s just the tip of the +1 spear! We’ll be sure to intermix new 3D prints, mini/scatter terrain quick-hit paint guides, must-have accessories, and much, much more. Thank you for granting us a (brief) long rest and continued ongoing support. Now, go forth and set out on your own summer adventure…you deserve it!
