Not Going Anywhere for a While?

Greetings, fellow RPG sleuthes! Today, we’re unpacking a great 3D-print-pack for your TTRPG game. Let’s get to it!

DM Ben loves using our 3D printers to tease a scene and drop clues on a current mission. Sherlock Holmes for the win, right?! So, when he saw today’s STLs, he instantly felt they would be a snap to integrate into our DnD campaign and build an easy homebrew encounter around them.

When it comes to TTRPG corpses, Tiny Furniture has you completely covered. They have alllll sorts of body marker STLs, and even these Hanged Persons scatter pieces. You get five different past living versions, and the details on them are fantastic.

These are on the smaller side, so DM Ben was a bit nervous applying his novice painting skills here. Still, he was willing to give it the ol’ college try. Here are his steps in case you want to try them or improve upon them.

• Prime Flat Black | Slapchop Base.
• Shirt: ASP Occultist Cloak.
• Pants: GSW Komodo Khaki.
• Rope: ASP Pallid Bone.
• Skin: ASP Gravelord Grey + drybrush Citadel Pallid Wych Flesh.
• Boots: ASP Hardened Leather.
• Buckles: ASP Broadsword Silver.
• Effect: FAN Dry Blood.
• Wash: Strong Tone (to all).

The grayer skin shows these poor folks have been hanging around for a while, and DM Ben wanted to convey that same vibe.

Newer players and dungeon masters out there might not know that keeping a strip of Sticky Tack is incredibly handy. Legends Matt Mercer and Brennan Lee Mulligan regularly use it in their DnD games. Take a tiny piece, and you can use it to suspend miniatures on your game board with ease.

Now, our photo is a bit zoomed in here, so when using the Arm’s Length rule (gospel here at 3DRPG Studios), you’ll barely see it. This simple material lets you temporarily suspend a mini in a jiffy. Slip that touchpoint behind some foliage, and no one will even know your trickiness.

Here’s the reverse side of each miniature so you can see the entire look. Darn cool, right? DM Ben decided to paint them rather similiar to one another in terms of their clothing because it’s not like everyone goes to a mall or uses Amazon to get their apparel. In all our favorite movies and TV shows, villagers are often dressed quite similiar.

DM Ben will have the players probably encounter these in one of their ongoing wilderness travel scenarios. Mushroom Alley (where our work campaign is in now) or when they approach the Tresendar Manor Dungeon Crawl would both be excellent spots for these to warn our adventurers of the dangers ahead. Or we could certainly save these for something else in the future.
