Greetings, fellow scallywags! A new Train Tuesday is upon us, and we have even more quirky pirates to welcome to your Hovertrain raiding party. Let’s see who the latest cuthroats are to join our despicable ranks!

Now, some folks might look at our growing list of marauders and wonder aloud if we have too many pirates. First off, shame on you. Secondly, say it with us now, “Everything is better with pirates!” We have no intention of slowing down, especially because our Hovertrain pirates translate into traditional seaside encounters while also making great NPCs for all kinds of DnD scenarios.

Our list is starting to be as long as an untouched pirate’s beard, so we think it’s handy to always open with a helpful roll call:
Another fun spin for the Dungeon Masters, you can do some dice rolls here to determine which crew members are part of the current raiding party and who is on shore leave (or off on a different mission).

Both of our featured 3D prints are by the immensely talented Iain Lovecraft and his must-own Rum and Raising Kickstarter. This TTRPG set has it all: amazing miniatures, gorgeous buildings, and fun scatter terrain pieces. This pirate lookout is from their core set of DnD minis.

The second featured DnD miniature is also from the Kickstarter’s core set and has all the necessary STL elements: a monkey, a bag of cannonballs, and a big, burly dude carrying it all on his back! What’s not to love here?

Resident Painter Kimmy Utah was the captain of color on these two fab pirate miniatures, and she just crushed her assignment as usual. Her attention to detail is beyond words. Case in point, notice how she did the wooden floors on the bases? Fun fact: Shipbuilding back in the day included planks that were fastened with wooden pegs (called trunnels or treenails for short). When they were pounded into place with a mallet, it would create a tight friction fit, locking them in place. That sorta two peg pattern is historically accurate and darn cool.

Now, let’s get to the particulars:
And for our other new pirate member:
Now we already have a couple of cannoneers like Baller and Mobly, but it takes a lot of firepower to slow down a Hovertrain. And we also have Shoeless Moe (the Chief Plunder Officer), but he gets a bit fixated on treasure spotting, so Stella assistsa and zeroes in on finding trains and identifying their defenses for the Captain.
Until next time!
