Greetings, fellow pillaging privateers! We all know everything is better with pirates, so this Train Tuesday seems like a great day to salute all those crazy buccaneers out there. Let’s begin!

We’re really cookin’ with lard when it comes to our booming crew of Hovertrain marauders! Even better, every pirate we feature can pull double duty on a traditional seafaring ship or on The Forgotten Rails. That means more life from your magnificent 3D-printed creations.

Today’s featured models are both by Cast n Play. These greedy corsairs are from their must-own Pirate Chronicles set. We’re showcasing one of the Goblin Pirates subset and one of the deckhands from their Pirate Cooks and Swabbers subset. We like Cast n Play’s system because if a full set doesn’t appeal to you as a Tribe Purchase, you can grab a subcategory of appealing miniatures from it without breaking the bank.

We’ll start with this pistol pirate because we don’t normally think goblin for this enemy class. This first picture isn’t great because of the angle, but we have a better one below. We just wanted to show off the cool pose, as it looks like this sneaky green bastard is running and firing at the same time. Resident painter Kimmy Utah used her younger eyes to color the tiny details in each STL. We always drool over the results!

This next deckhand is overflowing with character. He’s just a brilliant sculpt in every way. The scrub brushes on his feet. The gliding stance. His mop and bucket as makeshift weapons. Pure gold. Kim also paints a lot of our cheaper, plain MDF bases freehand, with a lot of our pirates looking like they’re on the top deck.

Next, let’s assign some NPC personalities and raiding roles to our two newest recruits.
Let’s start with our newest sword slinger:
Next, let’s get the specifics on our mop man:
Love the diversity here, both in player races and crew roles. DM Ben never complains about additional character flexibility.

Let’s conclude today’s DnD post with the latest crew count so you can quickly grab your marauders as needed:
Until next time!
