WIP Wednesday begins with an “Eeeeek!” as we just realized we almost skipped a step in our Village Interior Paint Guide. Let’s right this ship!
You can make your Village interior floors a single wood color, and that paint sweep would definitely save you a little time. However, your tiles will lose a little character and just not pop as much. After all, the devil is in the details, right?
So, let’s correct our steps here:
The good news is Step 5 is a speedy one. You’ll apply this color quickly. 🙂
Once again, we’re relying on an affordable bottle of Americana’s Honey Brown. You can pick one up for $.99 at Hobby Lobby. Since this is a small coverage spot on the floor tiles, you certainly could get fancier with an ArmyPainter Speedpaint or a Citadel Contrast color. We just wanted to keep it simple, though.
Again, once this color is applied, you won’t hear any loud cheers from the rafters. Our Honey Brown is going to go on with a bit of a thud. Stay calm and believe in the process. Our dark wash step will save the day, and that is our step for next week!
Still, let’s get fired up here, people! We’re nearly at the end, and our remaining steps will bring nothing but joy! We’re so close that we can taste the ale! Prepare the dark wash!
